1. Take a hike

  • Activities: This beauty is nestled in the heart of Gauteng, and is a stone's throw away from both Johannesburg and Pretoria.
  • The Hennops Hiking Trail has four trails setting out from the Hadeda Camp. At the beginning and end of the route along the Hennops River the trails lead you into a vast and beautiful surrounding landscape.
  • This epic trail has two suspension bridges, cable cars and even some caves. There are also some interesting historical sites, indigenous trees along the river and gorges and plateau areas, which make this an outstanding area for birdwatchers.
